I am a native of Crystal Lake, IL and a 2003 graduate of St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, IN with a major in mathematics and minors in French and secondary education. My entire career, except for my field experiences and cadet teaching, has been spent in Westville. I won the Hoosier Hero in education award in 2011 and am currently the Junior and Senior Class Co-Sponsor and am currently serving as the lead Blackhawk Academy instructor. In the past I have served as seventh grade math teacher, eighth grade math teacher, math department chair, and sponsor of the student council.

I am also an ambassador for Freckle Education, one of the leading differentiation platforms for math, science, social studies, and ELA. Our student body represents super-users of the product.

In addition, I currently serve as the school staff representative on the Porter County Schools Insurance trust. I have been a trustee since we joined the trust. I am also a member of ISTA's local political action committee. I have in the past held other roles including president of the Westville Teacher's Association and Membership Chair of the same.
